The device also has a map protection that must be removed in order to use the navigation function. This is subject to VW's activation restrictions and is not always possible with retrofitting. If a Discover Media MIB2 was already installed in the vehicle, VW usually allows activation. The customer is responsible for this if the device is ordered en route.
The warranty on this quality part is 12 months.
