Description :
The functions of the adapter:
Full MFA integration. Navigation arrows are also displayed.
Full integration of the multifunction steering wheel. "Forward/Back, Volume Up/Down and Phone" button are supported. If your steering wheel has a "MODE" button, you can use it to start voice control.
TV Free On Board. You can switch the TV Free function on or off at any time. All you need to do is briefly press the reset button on the wiper lever while driving.
Display of the small mini compass in the MFA. The outside temperature is displayed there during active route guidance.
Distance displayed in kilometers or miles. This setting is automatically read from your instrument cluster.
Display of temperatures in °C or °F. This setting is automatically read from your instrument cluster.
Display of the voltage of your starter battery and the utilization of your alternator. These values are automatically shown in the MFA when you turn off your RNS 510 with the ignition on.
Language settings and time are adopted from the instrument cluster. (As long as this is supported by your vehicle).
All relevant signals have been adapted, such as ignition, reverse gear, light (dimmable).
There is now the correct "Navigation" menu item in your MFA main menu.
When navigation is inactive, a compass can be displayed.
Display of channel names, titles, artists, volume, chapters in DVD mode, etc.
Easy installation, thanks to Plug & Play cable set.
If you have installed a 12-channel DSP amplifier ("Soundsystem 2, PR Code "9VE", "9VL"), this CAN adapter will switch the amplifier on and off so that you can continue to use it.
This adapter supports other VW accessories, such as "Media In", "VW DVBT Tuner", "rear view camera low", "hands-free device 7P6 035 730 (from index "E")".
If you have a VW T5, Golf / Bora, or Passat 3BG, the OPS (optical parking distance control) can even be retrofitted.

Important:
After purchase, please let us know which VW sound system you have installed. Possible options are: No sound system, 8 channel analogue, Dynaudio, VW Soundsystem 2 (PR Code 9VE or 9VL)
Required coding of your RNS 510:
- Bit 7 in byte 7 (communication to dash panel insert in BAP mode) must be deactivated.
- "NO sound system installed" (Even if you have installed a sound system)
